We Need To Talk About Wellbeing
In healthcare communications our people are our most important asset. Ensuring their Wellbeing is therefore essential to maintain a happy and healthy workforce, delivering at their best. Of course, we need to always be considering our own Wellbeing as well as our colleagues. Wellbeing Week (10th - 14th October 2022) is a timely reminder of what areas we need to consider, with simple ideas to help in maintaining our Wellbeing and the Wellbeing of those we manage. The week’s content and activity has been developed by the HCA in collaboration with PAPYRUS, the charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional Wellbeing in young people.
Each day during Wellbeing Week we will focus on a different area of Wellbeing and how each can impact on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. For each we will provide some written advice and a brief video by our mental health first aid trainer, Laura. All will be availble via the highlight panels below.
To help us keep active, an important consideration in our busy workplaces, we are also joined this week by our guest physiotherapist, Sue. Sue has developed a new exercise for each day of the week that you can do at your desk, so please consider your Wellbeing, take a break, watch the short video and have a go yourself.
If you manage a team, please get involved and request our 'We Need to Talk About Wellbeing' Resource Pack now, using the panel below. The pack guides on how to raise the topic with your team, and suggests activities you could undertake during Wellbeing Week.
