Experience

Since entering the medical communications field in 2010, Sarah has worked with and led scientific writing teams for multiple pre- and post-launch brands and therapeutic areas, including cardiology, dermatology, diabetes, neurology, mood disorders, pain, psychology, rheumatology, and virology/vaccines. Sarah currently provides scientific consultancy in medical affairs, publications and marketing across therapeutic areas.

Sarah has been an active member of the International Society of Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) the Medical Affairs Professions Society (MAPS) and the Healthcare Communications Association (HCA). As a member of the External Education Focus Area Working Group for MAPS, she has facilitated workshops, created Standards & Guidance and e-learning modules, and led webinars on innovations in HCP education.

Education

Sarah has a BS in Brain and Cognitive Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received her PhD from Universität Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany, in collaboration with the Institute for Toxicology and Genetics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Karlsruhe, Germany. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Neurology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sarah expanded her knowledge of global public health and mental health through a postgraduate certificate program at University of Glasgow.

Outside of work, Sarah is an avid marathoner and ultrarunner and the chair of her local running club.
