We hear from two sustainability specialists as they discuss the Ten Sustainability Issues that the pharma industry needs to be acting on now. 

This event marked the launch of a Sustainability Template Slide Deck to support pharma communicators in building a business case for sustainability within their organisations. This has been developed in consultation with pharma communicators and sustainability leads.

Amanda Powell-Smith, CEO, Forster Communications

Amanda runs Forster Communications, a leading sustainability communications agency working with businesses, charities, foundations and investors. An experienced leader with a background in strategic consultancy and reputation management, she works with senior teams in high profile organisations, helping to turn ambition into action. She believes in the power of partnership and is proud to have developed award-winning initiatives including Standard Chartered’s Seeing is Believing programme and Astellas’ Action on Fistula.
In 2015, Forster became a founding UK B Corporation and since then it has won nine Best for the World awards for progressive business behaviour. In January 2020, it became the first communications agency to publish a Climate Positive Plan and is now actively sharing this with others to inspire change.
