Breakfast Briefing with Laura Donnelly

General information

Come and meet Laura Donnelly, Health Editor, The Daily and Sunday Telegraph who will be speaking at our Journalist Breakfast Briefing, 8.00-10.00am on Thursday 26th October 2017.

As health editor of the Telegraph, Laura covers a broad sweep of topics, winning awards for in-depth investigations into NHS scandals, while spotting the quirky and offbeat stories that bring scientific breakthroughs to life.

Ten years at the Telegraph - first as health correspondent for the Sunday Telegraph, and for the last four years health editor across the daily and Sunday titles - have allowed her to translate complex policy into hard-hitting news, at a time when health has regularly dominated the agenda.

Three time winner of the Medical Journalism Awards, with recent scoops exposing soaring maternity blunders, deaths in pilot A&E triage schemes, and an ambulance scandal which saw responses to thousands of urgent calls secretly delayed.

Before joining the Telegraph, Laura spent five years as news editor of Health Service Journal, giving her an in-depth understanding of policy - and an extremely low tolerance for jargon.
