Come and meet Ben Hirschler, Senior Correspondent, Reuters News who will be speaking at our next Journalist Briefing, 3.30-5.30pm, on Thursday 3 May.

Ben is global pharmaceuticals correspondent at Reuters, covering a wide range of topics from the latest advances in cancer research to the financial health of drug companies to controversies over pricing and access to medicines around the world. He also writes more general stories about science and is a regular contributor to Reuters TV, the news agency’s consumer-focused video app.

A winner of the EU Health Prize for Journalists and two times winner of the UK Medical Journalists' Association Awards, he is used to covering both urgent breaking news and working on longer analyses and features.

Ben has been at Reuters since 1987, with overseas assignments first in Amsterdam and then in Johannesburg, where he reported on South Africa’s post-apartheid economic and political challenges from 1995. Since 2000 he has focused on healthcare. He has traveled widely in Europe, Asia and the North America, working with colleagues in various Reuters bureaus.

This event will take place at the offices of Publicis Resolute,  82 Baker Street, Marylebone, London W1U 6TE on Thursday 3rd May, 3.30-5.30pm followed by drinks.

Please note, this event is free to HCA members.  However, as places are limited, we may have to limit the number of individuals attending from any one organisation if this event becomes oversubscribed.
