Principles-Based Decision Making

General information

Principles-Based Decision Making

The 2021 Code of Practice describes four ‘ABPI Principles’ which should guide how activities are conducted and that should underpin pharmaceutical company practice. Pharmaceutical companies and their partners are required to embed these principles within their organisations but in truth many people are unsure how to use ethical principles within the decision-making process.

Dr Nick Broughton, Founding Partner, Ethos Ethics and Compliance Ltd will deliver a 30minute presentation exploring principles-based decision making, what it is, and why a reliance solely on a knowledge of ‘compliance’ will continue to fail patients and our industry.

Nick’s presentation will consider the following points with respect to principles-based decision making:

  • What it is
  • Why it might be important
  •  Whether any organisations currently practice it
  • What the problems might be instituting it
  • How it can be made to happen practically

The session will finish with an opportunity to discuss questions from the attendees.

Free members only event.  Please book online to reserve your place.
