Database Scams
Although we have not been aware of this happening significantly over the last few years, the HCA has seen a recent spate of spam email implying the HCA database is available for purchase. If you have received these, we are sure you will have already realised that THIS IS A SCAM.
The HCA neither endorses nor shares any form of database contact lists of any sort. Any data held by the HCA on its members is kept in the strictest confidence in line with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy
How to recognise an email from the HCA
With the ever-increasing number of fake and phishing emails circulating, we wanted to ensure you can be confident in recognising emails from the HCA. All HCA communications will come from an @the-hca.org address or news@hca-uk.com email. Any other email address should not be considered as officially from the HCA. Even then, scammers use sophisticated techniques to make emails look genuine, so if in doubt, please do not open or click any links. You can always contact us at info@the-hca.org if you are concerned about an email received.
