This special virtual Shared Experience event for Learning At Work Week will provide some practical suggestions and help for setting your personal goals and Continuing Professional Development plan. The session will also include an interactive questions and answer session in which you can participate.  The session will discuss:

      Goal setting:

  • Why and how you should proactively set personal goals
  • 5 Principles of goal setting
  • Matching your career goals with your values
  • Evaluating options and opportunities, barriers and enabler     

·     Motivation:

  • What motivates me? What doesn’t?
  • What actions could I take TODAY?

·    How to prioritise the right training and development:

  • Coaching, training and ‘everyday’ learning
  • The roles of mentoring, coaching, and personal development plans
  • Measuring progress
