Health Equity at the CORE: A new approach to health communications

The Weber Shandwick Collective (TWSC) worked in collaboration with the HCA on this virtual session to explain more about a new approach in health equity communications. Recognising the important role communications can play in helping address health equity issues, the Patients Association and TWSC have launched CORE, a strategic framework co-created with the patient community.

Rachel Power, CEO, Patients Association

The Patients Association is an independent patient charity campaigning for improvements in health and care for patients.  Our purpose is to ensure that everybody can access and benefit from the health and care they need to live by ensuring services are designed and delivered through equal partnership with patients 

Dr Tammy Boyce, Health Equity Advisor, The Institute of Health Equity

Dr. Tammy Boyce has worked as a Senior Advisor at the Institute of Health Equity, Michael Marmot's team at University College London. Previously she was a freelance research consultant specializing in: inequalities, public health, social care, social policy and delivery and risk communication. Her clients included: World Health Organisation, charities, universities and private companies.
