Cancer Research UK (CRUK) is the world’s largest independent cancer research organization, registering as a charity 20 years ago with the ultimate aim to beat cancer. Matt Kaiser, is Head of Careers and Discovery Research and responsible for the oversight and development of CRUK’s broad ranging discovery research portfolio; spanning research from any area of cancer biology through to the application of engineering and physical sciences to development of novel solutions to cancer problems.

Matt oversees the ongoing development of strategies to support early-career cancer researchers as well as developing mechanisms to recruit world class talent in areas of strategic importance. He builds and maintains strong relationships with cancer researchers across CRUK’s Centers and Institutes, international communities and key opinion leaders. Matt also leads the broader department and directorate, to support a culture of collaboration and represents CRUK on national and international committees and bodies.
